sophia tweed ahmad is an experimental dancer and singer. a queer child of pakistani and norwegian diasporas. her score-based choreography brews improvisation and raw reverberations in the body through prayer.  their choreography has been presented by Ten Tiny Dances, Performance Works NW,  Revolve Gallery, New Expressive Works, NunArt Guinardo, AREA Espai de Dansa i Creacio & STRIPART Festival. 

collective care & diverse dance cultures are central to their dance research. find them at capoeira rodas, contact jams, filming site-specific dances and working with multi-cultural youth.   

her movement training stems from lineages of contemporary improvisation, presence, contact improvisation, capoeira & flying-low. she received her postgrad in contemporary dance & creation at Area Dansa (2022-2023).
